The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Police Department (UNLPD) is seeking new police officers for campus operations. By joining our team, you will play an integral role in the safety and well-being of our on-campus community.

Our Police Officers, composed of uniformed patrol officers, investigations unit, crime prevention/training unit and K9 officers, are committed to providing a professional and full-service police department to the University.

Officers complete robust, paid training at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center located in Grand Island, Nebraska. Graduates then return to the department to enter a three-month Field Training Program. This program provides further training specific to campus law enforcement. Upon completion of this process officers are assigned to a patrol shift.

This is a competitive and rewarding field that allows individuals to directly assist and engage with the university community—all while developing skills as a public safety professional. Prior Police Officer experience is not required to apply.
