University Police dispatchers utilize the same dispatch and radio system used for all community emergency responders including Lincoln Police, Lancaster County Sheriff, Lincoln Fire and Rescue and the local Nebraska State Patrol personnel. Calls may be taken by any dispatcher on the system and routed to the designated agency for dispatching. This greatly enhances response times and law enforcement agency inter-cooperation.
