Door access alarms and some panic alarms are directly monitored by UNL Police Communications. Other alarms are directly monitored by UNL Telecommunications, then transferred to UNL Police Communications. When an alarm is received, officers are immediately sent to the location of the alarm and communications staff utilizes cameras where possible.
