There have been recent reports of person(s) entering unattended offices/rooms and stealing credit cards from wallets and purses. These cards are being used for large purchases at Lincoln area stores. Theft is a crime of opportunity. UNL Police are asking for your assistance in protecting your valuables. Here are some tips to assist you.

1. Lock your wallets and purses in your desks or take them with you when you leave the room.
2. Lock your office, even if only for a moment, when you leave.
3. Report suspicious person(s) and activity immediately to UNL Police at 472-3555.
4. Take notice of the person(s) clothing and physical features prior to calling UNL Police. This information will assist the responding officers.
